Cleaning of Workstation & Equipment

All lab equipment and workstations must be cleaned before and after use. Users have to follow the steps below and the cleaning instructions in the user manual for the respective equipment.

Workstation:

  1. Spray diluted soap on the surface and wipe it with brown paper towel to remove dust particles and/or debris present on the work bench.
  2. Wipe down the surface again with isopropanol or 70 % solution of denatured ethanol solutions to kill any remaining bacteria, viruses, and microbes after the first step.
  3. Spray computer screens and monitors with a 30% isopropanol solution on rag or paper and gently wipe the surface. Note: Do not use too much solution as this will create streaks on the computer screen and monitors

Lab Equipment:

  1. Refer to the “Cleaning instructions” in the user manual on the workbench.
  2. Spray a 70% solution of denatured ethanol on paper and gently wipe the specified surface of the equipment.

Cancellation

  1. Cancellations made by telephone will not be accepted. All cancellation should be done online.
  2. Reservations cancelled more than 48 hours prior to the reservation date will not incur a cancellation fee. If reservations are cancelled less than 48 hours in advance, charges may still be applied.
